HOW TO USE

Mesitran dressing & border

Instructions for use

1 Inspect and if necessary, cleanse the wound.

2 Select a suitable size of dressing, ensuring that it overlaps the edges of the wound by approximately 2.5cm.

3 Remove the sterile dressing from the package.

4 First, peel back half of the white plastic protective liner.

5 Gently place the dressing onto the wound, while removing the second half of the white plastic protective liner. If using Mesitran Border, ensure that the adhesive border does not come into contact with the wound surface.

6 Remove the paper liners from the top of the dressing.

7 Make sure the dressing is secured in place. When using Mesitran, apply a secondary dressing if needed.

8 Inspect the wound and the surrounding tissue regularly.

9 The dressing can remain in place for up to 5 days, dependent upon the amount of wound exudate.

Contraindications
